Friend,
One thing Teka and I always say after leaving a restaurant in America is, why on Earth did we order that extra [insert thing].
Because you always, ALWAYS get served really well in America. Way better than most places in the UK.
This is, of course, a great thing. We’ve had so many amazing experiences in the States with food, and it’s one of the things we always look forward to when we are planning a new trip.
This time, it was a diner called Elmer’s in palm Springs, that many of my viewers recommended we try for their enormous German-style pancakes (video below).
Palm Springs was brilliant btw. I can totally understand why people want to retire there.

Which brings me to the next thing. We are currently planning our trip to Florida, in the Orlando area. We’ll be there from 21-25 April (a flying visit). Can you recommend anything to do outside of the normal theme parks?
I already have my eyes set on catching my first largemouth bass, and making a quick trip north to the oldest city in America.
But anything else? Restaurants, interesting places etc? We’ll have a car.
All tips welcome!
As a subscriber to my newsletter, I’m sharing my next YouTube vlog with you two hours before I share it with the public. Please do share this publication if you think any of your contacts/friends etc would enjoy seeing this Scottish guy exploring the best of Americana.
Speak soon,
Shaun
When you're in the Orlando area and haven't been before I highly recommend a visit to Kennedy Space Center in Titusville on the coast. About an hour drive east of Orlando. You may even get to see a rocket launch as SpaceX launches quite frequently. Lots of US space history to see and advanced reservations are recommended for any tours. They fill up fast. Whatever you choose to do I hope you both enjoy the visit!
