Shaun, like others I have followed you for many years. I am saddened that you have faced this and am glad you shared what is going on. Hopefully by sharing it you have allowed us to help you lift the burden and take away its weight. My grandson told me a few years ago, “Lolli, people can be the worst!” And of course he was right. I was very grateful that you shared it wasn’t mostly Americans. Our country, like the UK, is going through a particularly difficult time and I’ve always been hopeful to hear you are treated well by my countrymen on your travels. The digging by trolls to discredit you is a very frustrating compliment in that they obviously want what you have but don’t have the courage or personality to achieve. As we say here in the US, screw ‘em! Keep reaching for your dream, dear one, in your open and honest way. You’ve helped so many of us learn about our ancestral roots and we are happy to welcome you among us when that day comes. Walk in peace. Shaun, I can’t think of strong enough words to shock and regret that some numpties have treated you horribly. We started watching your youtube channel about 6 years ago. I hope that you have always found people in the USA and particularly Texas welcoming. I live in Lubbock, in the panhandle. In our 5 trips to Scotland, we have always been treated extremely well. I have adjusted well to driving on the left side of the road and navigating roundabouts. In our last trip, we enjoyed spending a day learning more of the history of Perth with Mr. Bruce Fummey. Shaun, hang in there! Ignore the trolls, and cretins that want to foul your narratives. It’s fairly easy to “read” the intent of content creators. Your content has remained positive and upbeat, and America is founded on the principle of capitalism…so WHO could fault you or your content from also being wise, competent, and a business person. All of these are pluses to your application toward becoming a USA citizen. You are paying the overhead for your posts…and demonstrating your marketing and business skill to create a place for you, and your immediate family as you contribute toward the ultimate goal of moving Stateside. You owe NO ONE an explanation. Those of us that “follow” you, accept you fully as a human of good standards, that loves America. Keep posting. Keep “Go Fund Me” going, as bringing someone with your most pleasant and positive vibes into our America. Haters will always hate. I have found that “Linked In” is not a “good” platform for anything. Been following you for several years now and always enjoy getting to see how people who don’t live in the US or haven’t lived here all their lives react to things that are so normal here that we sometimes start to take them for granted, like our National Parks. It’s both fun and useful to get to see things from an outside perspective.
The reactions to the yellow school buses have been some of the most entertaining because the school buses here have been yellow since before almost everyone alive today was even born. Even my tiny rural school in the middle of nowhere had a yellow bus. Our school sports teams would travel for away games in the yellow buses. We took the yellow buses for field trips and academic competitions. We see them on every tv show, movie, and cartoon that has anything to do with school or even many that don’t but have scenes with traffic. They are just part of every day life here, so they’re nothing special at all to us. Riding the school bus in the 90s or early 2000s often meant no seatbelts or air conditioning, and a very bumpy trip because the bus driver would hit every pot hole in existence. It was the worst part of every school trip. Though I believe the newer ones do have air conditioning now. It was a little surprising to find out people from outside the US thought they didn’t really exist.
I’ve been very lucky to have the opportunities that I’ve had to be able to travel to 17 different countries and all 50 states, and many states more than a few times. It is always a new experience every time because there is just so much to do and see that you can never do it all in one trip. Even in my own state, South Dakota, there are still things I haven’t done.
I just don't understand people like that. What is it about their own lives, mental health, lack of self esteem makes them feel better by being awful to people on-line. I guess the anonymity gives them a sense of security. You don't have to justify yourselves with them, you don't have to apologize to them. We're with you all the way.

Trolls are nothing but bullies and abusers.
They will make unreasonable demands,and create unrealistic expectations for others
In an effort to exert control over them.
The best way to take your power back is transparency and the “grey rock”method. They can’t hold you hostage without your attention.
