Oops! I posted too soon. This is also larger than any comparable place in Canada, and it has the largest number of Native speakers of any in either country (140,000), as well as the number of members (400,000). I was herLe back in '87, spending the night in my tent.

Last, the John Wayne movie "Stagecoach" was filmed here back in the '30s or '40s.

I agree, Shaun, that this place is beautiful. Other places on the Navajo Nation are Canyon de Chelly (pronounced shay), and Antelope Canyon.

I've been enjoying your videos on my TV for probably a year now. Very much appreciate your recording at HD or better, especially the Grand Canyon last week and Monument Valley this week. Having more information and connecting with the community when you film sounds like a great idea.
